All LPD & All Region D Baseball

I am supprized that there has not been any thing about the recent All LPD and All Region D selection for baseball.
Any comments, agreements, disagreements? But keep it clean we are still dealimg with Young Men (kids).

I would like to see some stats on these kids. I know Kelly has a nice web site for their team, but I have not been able to see many of the other schools. If anyone can help me out I would appriciate it. Thanks in advance

Re: All LPD & All Region D Baseball

Honestly, stats are pretty much a joke, at least for most teams. Having kept them before, there is way too much home cooking and doctoring of numbers, so I give little credibility to most. I had pretty much set rules to govern what was a hit, what was an error, yes there was some interpretation but like I think Sportsman was talking about the errors in the state playoff game for Kelly. Sometimes there are just some horrible views and its kind of amazing to see what some scorers or coaches, whomever makes the decision, gives plays. I know when I kept the book, there was a particular player who was like 1-10 versus my team during the year. However at the end of the year, the kid had gotten out like 16 times period according to the stats submitted. Now while I can't verify 100% that he didn't somehow only get out 7 times the rest of the year, I am fairly sure that I recall seeing a few 2-4's and such giving during game recaps.

I took pride that at the end of the game if someone from a paper was there, and we were comparing numbers, it was normally exactly the same or at worst a difference of 1 hit/1 error. The problem is most don't care and there is nobody that really keeps track as the year goes on.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
